Convert Music and Video with WinFF
Easily convert video and music files to other formats with WinFF. This tutorial will cover converting a video to WMV format, although it can easily be adapted to convert files to other formats. We’ll be converting the “get_video.flv” file from our previous YouTube tutorial. We’ve assumed that you’ve already downloaded and installed WinFF.
Open up WinFF

You’ll be greeted with a simple window. Click Add to choose the location of your video/music file you wish to convert.
The familiar Open File dialog will appear after you click Add. Find your video/music file and select it.
Next, choose the location you want WinFF to spit out your new file (output) in the chosen format, by clicking the … button at the bottom of the window.
For the purpose of this tutorial, we chose the good ol’ My Documents.
Next, we’ll be choosing the category of the format to convert to. I decided to go with WMV, so I click the first box, and select WMV.
The second box is for choosing the specific format to convert it into. Since WMV2 is the only option, that’s what was chosen.
Click Convert.
A command prompt window will popup, and display the current stats on the video conversion. Once it’s done, it’ll prompt you to press a key. At this point, select the folder you chose for the output (for this tutorial it’s My Documents) and find your new file, which will have the same name as the previous file. You’re done.
